Današnji 25. svibanj je malo poznati međunarodni dan ručnika. Međunarodni dan ručnika slavi se u čast Douglasa Adamsa koji je u antologiju svjetskog SFa ušao kroz trilogiju u pet dijelova pod nazovom “Vodič kroz galaksiju za autostopere” (i manje poznati serijal od Dirk Gentlyevoj holističkoj detektivskoj agenciji.
